Friday night fun....
Hi Vicki-Although I have inquired, I have not heard back from the Hilton in regards to the # of rooms booked. (I had 2 blocks of 15 rooms=30, plus overflow room availability as well) As far as a Friday night gathering, I think if somebody would like to give a WHERE and WHEN, that will be the plan. In other words, IF YOU POST IT-THEY WILL COME!
Hotel

Jesse,

Do we know how many people are staying at the hotel vs driving to and from the hotel on Saturday night? I'm up for something Friday night. Power and Light sounds like fun.

Oh, what does one wear?
You are not the first to ask, so I will post this response.  Think of our high school dances, there was quite the variety of attire.  I have heard of sundresses and gowns (for the women mostly) and shorts, jeans and suits for the guys.  I think the most important thing is your personal comfort.  If you feel good~thats all that matters.    I originally wanted to do a 1983 dress "theme", but I was worried I would be the only one with legwarmers and a leotard on.  (man, I hate it when that happens) Anyway, just make sure you wear shoes/boots where you may frolic about the entire evening. Of course, if your shoes end up non-frolic friendly, you can take 'em off.   Anyone can wear anything they want, even leg warmers!  Thanks, Troy!

Attire

Hey Jess?  What's the attire for this event?  Jeans, boots and a nice button-down acceptable?  I really don't wear anything fancier than that.........................................

there is a bar....

Hi Mike & classmates,

I did double check with the Hilton and they do have a bar/lounge we are welcome to use, just FYI.  From the addresses-looks like a lot of our classmates live in Lees Summit, so you might want to find something in between Lees Summit and the Hilton.  I think if someone says "Hey, how about here"-it will be great.  And, since this is kind of a once in a lifetime deal, I am sure everyone will be very flexible.  As for me, have blender-will travel. (If I am not taking a little nap....I need to reserve my energy for Saturday)Jess

Tennis Anyone??

HI Everybody,

I'm just checking to see if anyone would up for some exercise? The hotel has a tennis court. Check in time is 3pm. I would be good to go by 3:30. If anyone that lives in K.C. would like to play closer to their home I'd be up for something early morning or early afternoon. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and catching up.

peace,

Wonderful Idea about Friday

Linda, sounds like a great idea. I don't live there anymore either. I do have some suggestions. Since we will be indoors all evening Saturday how about meeting late afternoon or early eve at a park. Somewhere that has sand volleyball and horseshoe pits. We could enjoy some fresh air and the beautiful day. It could even be good to have evryone that has kids bring their kids?? Anyone that would like to could BYOB if they choose and BYOF if your into a picnic. If the day is not so pleasant there could be a back up plan. I don't know if there are any pubs there with indoor sand volleybll or not?? Some place that has dart boards, shuffle boards or pool tables?? It is going to be nice seeing everyone again.

Let's meet up Friday night!
Hey everyone!  Can't wait to see ya'll!  I was thinking maybe we could meet up at a local pub Friday night beforehand for an informal thing.  Since I don't live there anymore I don't know where to go.  Any suggestions?  Thought it might be fun.

How exciting!
Can't wait to see everyone at our 25th reunion.  Its kind of the finale' of reunions for another 25 years, and (GULP!) that is a little scary.  It has been so very fun for me to get to chat via email and the tellie to so many of you.  I am really looking forward to 6/28.  I know it will be a great time.  Thank you everyone for participating in advance, and thank you, too, for joining me in my excitement.
